Villagers Want Drainage GUNTUR: The APCRDA has allotted returnable residential and commercial plots to the pooled farmers of 10 villages of Amaravati Capital Region.

These plots were allotted in the new layouts formed in barren farmlands, Transportation facility is needed for the development of new layouts as these were barred from road connectivity. APCRDA started developing these layouts, giving priority for connectivity to the main roads.

The Abbarajupalem-Nekkalu, KrishnayapalemNekkallu-Amaravati, Boiru palem – Amarawati, Uddandaray unipalemNida marru-Amaravati. Penumaka-Ainavolu, Venkatapalem-Navuluru and Mangalagiri-Neerukonda roads will connect Amaravati from all directions. Nelapadu was the first village of Amaravati Capital Region to offer land for Amaravati establishment under Land Pooling Scheme.
So APCRDA first distributed returnable plots to Nelapadu pooled farmers after preparing a layout on the outskirts of the village. Now, APCR. DA has started construction of a connectivity road to the layout and would develop basic amenities in the layout in the future. APCRDA completed allocation of returnable plots to the pooled farmers of 10 villages namely Nelapadu, Boru palem, Sakhamuru, Abbarajupalem , Donda padu, Nekkallu, Ainavolu, Malkapuram, Kondamaraju palem and Pitchukalapalem, and has to allot returnable plots to the rest of the 19 villages. It decided to first provide road connectivity to the new LPS layouts for continuation of development process through good transportation facility.

G. Ramu of Nelapadu and P. Maruthi Ainavolu lamented that the roads to reach their villages Were in very bad condition and there was no bus service. Welcoming the decision to construct seven inter-connectivity roads in the Amaravati Capital Region, they sought public transport like bus services, Water supply, drainage and other facilities to the capital villages.
Note: APCRDA officials Said the tender process is under progress for inter-connectivity roads and Construction Work is likely to start this December.
